Ratings & Reviews

  1. Anthony De Luca's rating of the film The Outcast

3.6 Interesting subject matter. I've learnt something new. As usual, Ichikawa's use of the widescreen format is impeccable. He had a terrific eye for filling a frame, be it with beautiful scenery or tight close-ups on actors.

  2. FISCHER's rating of the film The Outcast

EXCELLENT ! www.cinefiches.com

  3. Jeremiah Johnson's rating of the film The Outcast

Watched 35 mm projection at nsw art gallery: The movie serves as a en educational film about the 'burakumin' caste discrimination which i had no idea of and couldnt full comprehend but apparently its still going on. But its too slow, overly sentimental and performances are over the top.
