This is a French production with some Frenchy actors, notably Jean-Louis Trintignant, who I adore. The story is assassin vs. assassin, and they threw in Ann Margaret just to punch it up. Roy gets to slap Jackie Earle Haley before he got famous. It also has Georgia Engel before she hit paydirt with 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show'. It's fun for a low budget thriller.
"Un Homme est Mort". French Italian American production of Jacques Deray (1972) with Jean-Louis TRINTIGNANT, Ann MARGRET, Angie DICKINSON, Roy SCHEIDER https://www.facebook.com/zyx.mhclaes/media_set?set=a.660896703966476.1073741856.100001384583310&type=3
With its European sensibility and LA locations, THE OUTSIDE MAN is something of an oddity but the acting is dynamite. Jean Louis Trintignant, Ann-Margret, Roy Scheider, Angie Dickinson, Ted de Corsia, Georgia Engel...one of the buried treasures of the 1970s!
