So much more organic and textured than his later, more meditative films. I thought a bit of Iossellani or Kusterica.
In keeping with the tradition of disliking most of Tarr's early work, I did not like this either. Just a bag full of social realism with a focus on Hungary. The film is at least 20 years late from a purely formal standpoint.
It was an awkward experience to see colors in a Bela Tarr's work.
This movie is so bad it almost ruined MY LIFE.
