Our take

A Palme d’Or nominee by the acclaimed Lee Daniels (Precious), Paperboy is a sugar-coated neo-noir centered on the fiancée of a man on death row. Fired up by a stellar cast (including Nicole Kidman’s stand-out performance), this pulpy crime story set in the 1960s Florida ripples with campy excess.
