Ratings & Reviews

  1. Anna's rating of the film The People of the Kattawapiskak River

Some of the dialogues from the natives were pure poetry, breaking the differentiation between the Attawapiskat nation and everyone else, and leaving just pure, icy feelings of common humanity and the need to learn from and support each other. Their words and the accompanying silences really make this film.

  2. MicheleMpls's rating of the film The People of the Kattawapiskak River

Good documentary about first nation housing issues.

  3. Emilionautilus's rating of the film The People of the Kattawapiskak River

Terrible realidad de los pueblos originarios, en todo el mundo. Canadá no es la excepción.

  4. paul oram's rating of the film The People of the Kattawapiskak River

This seems to be the lot of indigenous people from mineral rich countries. Depressing. The government of Canada has rendered them helpless, and utterly reliant on handouts, to the point they cant lift themselves out of their situation. Canada is wrecking its environment - check out the Tar sands on googlemaps - its a totally erased landscape.

  5. Stefan Drees's rating of the film The People of the Kattawapiskak River

A carefully made inventory of social problems.

  6. Weston Campbell's rating of the film The People of the Kattawapiskak River

Interesting look at how Native Americans are still pushed aside and cheated today.
