Ratings & Reviews

  1. Wee Hunk's rating of the film The Prefab People

WTF. Social realism? I hate that crap. Thank God for his other movies. The masterpieces.

  2. ermete polpette's rating of the film The Prefab People

  3. Il secondo maestro del revolver's rating of the film The Prefab People

  4. José Neves's rating of the film The Prefab People

  5. Tiphaine Tatin de Lattre's rating of the film The Prefab People

  6. Lynch/Fellini's rating of the film The Prefab People

It's as if this film were directed by a completely different director- still really good, but unlike any of Bela Tarr's more noteworthy films.

  7. Kamran's rating of the film The Prefab People

http://nextprojection.com/2014/12/20/next-projection-presents-apocalyptic-poetry-films-bela-tarr-prefab-people/ A commentary both on marriage itself as well as how marriage is affected by social circumstance, The Prefab People is a deeply layered and emotive film that seeks to observe reality in its many different forms. 80/100

  8. F.Bieberkopf's rating of the film The Prefab People

An improvement from 'Family Nest', yet it's like watching an inferior Cassavetes or Allan King film. Tarr begins at 'Almanac of the Fall'.

  9. RodrigoPereira's rating of the film The Prefab People

"In socialism you get as much as what you work, with communism, everyone will get everything they need."

  10. Francisco R.'s rating of the film The Prefab People

Much much better than his previous effort, Tarr's final work in this style of social realism before moving onto his TV adaptation of Macbeth (and therefore marking the beginning of his definitive style) is his most subtle and insightful compared to the other two.
