A masked killer, wearing World War II U.S. Army fatigues, stalks a small New Jersey town bent on reliving a 35-year-old double murder by focusing on a group of college kids holding an annual Spring Dance.

This film has my favorite kills of any slasher film: They're brutal, bloody, and well-staged. Too bad the rest of the movie is so boring. The characters wander around doing nothing for most of the running time. Still, the atmosphere is great, as is the shock ending. See this for Savini's FX, not the story.
A couple excellent kills can’t make up for what may very well be the absolute dullest slasher ever made. Seriously, it may be one of the only films to prove positively the adage about paint drying being more compelling. Even a B-grade old Hollywood has-been like Farley Granger didn’t deserve this.
