I treat myself to an Italian mess from time to time, but I find the 1st hour extremely unenjoyable. Ray Milland is the most - unintentionally - unpleasant detective in cinema. That 1 star goes completely to the last 20 minutes, although by that time it's too late to save the film.
**1/2. Two songs performed by Amanda Lear, Salvador Dali's muse. Crime movie à la Hitchcock whose last 20 minutes save the rest of the film. Ferrer, Placido and Milland's acting is enjoyable and Di Lazzaro (-and her body double) 's legs well tanned. Now why does the action takes place in Australia? Beats me but it allows Placido to have a great scene at the end of the film. A DVD zone 'remind me why I bought this'.
