India. The spoiled and stubborn Edwina Esketh comes to a small town with her husband. She falls in love with an Indian doctor, Dr. Safti. She also meets an old friend of hers, the alcoholic Tom Ransome. A terrible earthquake is followed by days of rain.

*1/2. If it weren't for the earthquake and the flood scenes, this movie would sink into total oblivion. This is 20th Century Fox at its worst. During the flirt scenes between Lana Turner and Richard Burton, I felt ashamed for them and wondered how they could remain serious while uttering their lines. With a few shots of bourbon maybe. Almost instant crap.
