Cute? Yes. But how cute can something soulless really be? With all the numerous possibilities within animation cinema, it feels more like a coin collector than an artistic work. And to be honest : what's the point of introducing a bunch of new characters if they are not nearly as charismatic as the old ones? At the end of the day, it's a tv episode that being 80 minutes long feels too long.
It may be too episodic and a little too loose, but, "The Secret Life of Pets 2" doesn't feel as wound up on cat-nip and dog treats as its predecessor. It slows down just a little bit, gives every character a moment to shine, and minimizes any opportunity to be too meta in favor of just being wholesome, lively entertainment. I had to do a double take during the credits; that "Panda" music video was delightfully odd.
Not as good as the first one, this sequel being not that interesting. The story was too simple, like some short stories put side by side.
I think it could have been better if the action would have follow other pet characters with their own secret lives.
Some short moments of fun,the runtime is quite short.Rooster was a good new character added but he appears in only a few scenes.Kevin Hart is insane as Snowball! 6/10
#167 "My doggies"..."Always"...<333 The animals at the vet scene was so hilarious: "Cat: Yeah, I’m fine too. It’s my human that’s nuts. I mean, you know, I, I bring her a dead bird, she throws it out. I bring her dead mouse, right in the garbage! Is nothing I do good enough for you, mother?!" "Guinea Pig: I run, I can run, and I run, and I run, and I get out, and I’ve gone nowhere. Nowhere!"
