Like Roger Ebert (for Harry Dean Stanton and M. Emmet Walsh) I have a rule- no film featuring Michael Biehn can be all bad. This film is no exception. While it is corny as hell (pun intended), there is a charm to this corniness that is lacking in most "bad" films today and thus thoroughly enjoyable!
An extremely underrated religious thriller with career best work from Demi Moore. Moore shines as an expectant mother with a tortured past whose pregnancy becomes tied with up end times prophecy and intrigue. The premise is patently ridiculous, the special effects budget obviously lacking, but committed performances and a sharp script rescue it from corn. Good supporting turns from Jurgen Prochnow and Michael Biehn.
