It is a voodoo movie that has an interesting premise, but I saw the twist-ending from the get-go and found the film predictable and that made me dislike the film's heroine for being so stupid. A missed opportunity really and not something that makes me want to revisit the movie. A one time watch only that is of interest due to the better-than-usual actors.
There is a really interesting, disturbing idea about the nature of consciousness that the twist of the film rests on. If the protagonist and the antagonist genuinely believe they have switched bodies, haven't they done so in many ways? A movie that toys with the nature of belief in a unique way and gets far too much hatred for fearlessly sticking to its original ideas. Far from perfect but very good nonetheless
A fitting start of my love affair with Kate Hudson. She is awesome in this movie (she's not even the best actor in the film) but boy does the script and the editing fail her. I've seen nearly everything she's done hoping for something that matches her allure, a search that's turned up mostly disappointment. The Killer Inside Me finally gave her something to work with.
