Ratings & Reviews

  1. dionysus67's rating of the film The Slow Business of Going

This early and experimental film by Tsangari, while not free from a naive and skeletal plot, has enough wit, poignancy and political acumen to be considered as an end-of-millennium avant-garde paean to socio-political turbulence and to newly emerging gender issues. Because she is tied to modernist disjunctions, the animation and the superimositions on newsreel footage add a sublime touch, absent from her later work.

  2. Wee Hunk's rating of the film The Slow Business of Going

As with most experimental film, there are moments that seem like Godard, others that seem like Hartley, and some that were unwatchable for me. It requires a patience I no longer have.
