Ratings & Reviews

  1. Richmond Hill's rating of the film The Stalls of Barchester

An early entry in the glorious 1970s BBC series of annual Christmas-time broadcasts of Jamesian (M.R. not Henry, although that would have worked too) short stories. As with many of these minatures the vivid atmosphere created is the chief delight as we proceed to the seemingly inevitable denouement. Nessecity can indeed be the mother of realisation if not invention.
