Ratings & Reviews

  1. film_lies101's rating of the film The Stepfather

As 80's commentary it pales in comparison to 'People Under the Stairs' but Quinn's performance is absolutelychilling

  2. PETE GCDB's rating of the film The Stepfather

I think my favorite scene in this film is when Jerry has one of his psychotic meltdowns in his basement while unbeknownst to him, his new stepdaughter Stephanie watches on in shock. When he notices her presence he completely does an emotionally schizophrenic 360 and says: Oh, Hi Honey. An excellent pitch black comedy/horror film.

  3. T. J. Harman's rating of the film The Stepfather

Very 80s slasher elevated by O'Quinn's performance.

  4. Westley's rating of the film The Stepfather

Classic 80's slasher. Family values have never been scarier than this.

  5. trondjo's rating of the film The Stepfather

Based on pure entertainment value this is a four star horror movie. It's dumb, over-the-top and totally unbelievable. Nevertheless it's a great ride, and Terry O'Quinn (the bald guy from "Lost") is mesmerizing in a "Jack Nicholson-way" as the maniac family killer. 3+ stars.

  6. Silenzio's rating of the film The Stepfather

A flawed but highly enjoyable horror film which owes a lot to Terry Quinns performance which is entertaining without ridiculous overacting. Among the standout scenes are the chilling opening, his first murder in the new town and the scene in which he momentarily forgets his identity....

  7. benvanloon's rating of the film The Stepfather

  8. Scout Tafoya's rating of the film The Stepfather

"They must have really disappointed him..."

  9. lexicondevil's rating of the film The Stepfather

  10. Francisco Adrian Cabrera Godoy's rating of the film The Stepfather

  11. Checkpoint Charlie's rating of the film The Stepfather

O'Quinn is good, but the film is quite laugable even with him in the center of it.
