Very coonfused as to why MUBI dropped this one. It's scored like a comedy but plays like an 80’s thriller (one of Pierce’s probably). I was amazed to find it was released in 2001. Odd dialogue and bizarre jumps in narrative rounded off with a belly flop of an ending. Not worth the curiosity and yes that is Daniel Radcliffe which would indicate he's been playing very young in those pottery movies! : )
There are some enjoyable scenes, playful moments of editing, and a couple of cracking lines in this tonally muddled film. Brosnan, Curtis and Rush turn in decent performances, but the normally wonderful Brendan Gleeson is miscast and the picture as a whole has dated poorly.
