Zombie movies with a twist is a pretty commonplace thing these days but this one stood out. The political and social issues on display are well handled and the IRA-angle gives the movie another dimension to think about. Keeley and Vaughn are great in their roles but Page's inclusion in the cast feels almost incidental. While the movie has a voice of its own and kept me interested it didn't leave a taste for more.

An Irish dramatic-zombie flick that's metaphor works on multiple levels. Its society can be about the modern corrections system or the War on Terror. The zombies are akin to a soldier ridden with PTSD and war crime/survivor guilt, displaced refugees, or perhaps, struggles of criminals/mentally ill upon release. At times it even parallels the IRA movement. It uses zombie tropes for a literary dimension; a true rarity.
