Our take

This comedy set immediately after the Cuban Revolution is one of the renowned satires of director Tomás Gutiérrez Alea (Memories of Underdevelopment). This retelling of a Russian comic novel sets out to critique the contradictions of the Revolution through the mad quest of three peculiar characters.
