Afterword to Garrel experiments with drugs and to Herzog voyages, no less hallucinogenic- especially "Fata Morgana" with Cohen on the soundtrack - is a film that never finds its personal speech and gets lost on several irrelevancies and in a voyeuristic ethnography without enthusiasm. At the end come two magnificent frames, especially when one can see the valley, but it run up 104 minutes to do so.
I've come to know Pink Floyd's Obscured by Clouds before this film. For this reason, and for my love for Floyd, the film cannot reach the intensity of the album. There's a sort of suspance for the reaching of this mighty place that never reach its climax, in the end you'll be stunned whit a lot of unanswered questions. This is a movie who demonstrate that is better not having any expectations, i like it though.
