In Prague's rating of the film The Viking

Before Herzog's La Soufrière, there was Melford & Frissell's Viking. S.Sontag's assumption regarding photography's essential non-intervention (who intervenes cannot record, who records cannot intervene, hence the horror behind the fact that photojournalism may choose a good shot over a life) withers perhaps when shooting is as vulnerable as the shot - I still shiver at camera's sway atop the wavy dwindling ice floes.
