Mihaela Popescu's minimal direction with static camerawork & dailylife noises looks like thorough practicality in Romanian New Wave like Porumboiu. But while all the acts in their films means these act itself only, behaviors in "The Walk" like sitting, walking on a street and moving her finger represents protagonist's profoundly long life, which makes me think larger-than-life richness of Kelly Reichardt. Impressive.
