Ratings & Reviews

  1. mpho3's rating of the film The War

Slate's Beverly Gage concludes that The War is "often revelatory, [but] also manipulative, nostalgic, and nationalistic." Told only from the U.S. POV, "it's rousing and meaningful and not technically inaccurate, but not exactly the whole truth. The War is less interested in parsing geopolitics than in exploring this experience of battle as a window into the human soul." By such measure, it immensely succeeds.

  2. Andre Rehal's rating of the film The War

I watched this over the course of a week and was engaged every minute. The series strikes a balance between the major events and turning points of the war contrasted against the more personal stories that occurred.

  3. cinemaofdreams's rating of the film The War

A must see. We should never forget the sacrifices made by these men and women.
