What are people saying?

  • tidal waif's rating of the film The Whole Sky

2,5 Paradise's girded by a flaming ring. One firewalks to achieve any sort of bliss and in an arranged marriage the fire belt is double as one has to achieve love or a tolerable substitute, then proceed to maintaining harmony. Tough mission, but Chatterjee wields an unfailing medicine: "Hable con ella!" Incompatibility is a toxic delusion engendered by mutism. We all fit anyone provided we do basic yammer. Oh really?

  • Karl J. Kipling's rating of the film The Whole Sky

Pigheaded young man imagines himself destined for greatness but finds his yellow brick road blocked by marriage, as demand parents. Turns out the girl is just as stubborn as he is. Stretches its comedy of miscommunication too far perhaps - could be the only film ever made where husband and wife, married at start, don't exchange words until two minutes before the end - but full of wee graceful touches along the way.
