Criminally underrated trash horror-comedy anthology that has just the right amount of humor to entertain the adults and scare little kids - at least if you were a kid growing up in the 80s. The tone is very reminiscent to more entertaining portion of Stephen King adaptations from the same period. If you enjoyed Creepshow, Twilight Zone revival from the 80s and Tales from the Crypt, then this hidden gem is a must see.
Horror anthologies are always a tricky thing to get right-this one's juvenile enough to be viewed fondly by anyone who has their own memories of ridiculous campfire stories, despite its patchy quality (the pacing consistently drags-a big no when it comes to telling scary stories). My favorite bit is probably the monster who's just trying to use the school bathroom and is constantly interrupted.
