Ratings & Reviews

  1. Aaken's rating of the film There's No Business Like Show Business

An overlong backstage musical based on Irving Berlin's songs. Merman is too loud for the screen, O'Connor and Gaynor's talent is wasted in uninspired numbers. Dailey is charming and manages to neutralise Merman a little. Monroe doesn't seem very enthralled by the film, but comes alive in her numbers, choreographed by Jack Cole. Berlin, who visited the set, really liked the arrangements on 'Heat Wave'.

  2. Catarina C Gomes's rating of the film There's No Business Like Show Business

  3. Robert Regan's rating of the film There's No Business Like Show Business

I know there's a lot of competition out there, but this one just might be the most vulgar movie ever!

  4. MarcH's rating of the film There's No Business Like Show Business

Episodic nightmare...but the widescreen is most impressive (especially the last shot).
