Ratings & Reviews

  1. J. O.'s rating of the film Thirteen

Praised for its realism, performances, and writing - though, it does not deliver. Performances become irritating at best as they move through awkward, unbelievable scenes. Shot like a made-for-TV movie with a generic aesthetic. Further reading showed a lot of praise drawing attention to it being a female-driven project. Surely we can criticize something without disparaging every #brave/fearless (etc) filmmaker? Ugh.

  2. Mathias Palmberg's rating of the film Thirteen

Good mini series with fine acting, suspense and solid direction. My biggest gripe is that most character´s act like idiots and the police procedures is equally unbelievable. For a brit crime series, where realism is a staple, this one takes a lot of liberties with realism and believability in my opinion. Still it is worth watching due to its´ short running time (5 hrs).

  3. Slow Immersion [Joe]'s rating of the film Thirteen

Quite a nice surprise. Turned into one of my favourite English series from the past few years.
