The peek into so many of the world's greatest restaurants is not without interest, but as a documentary, this fails due to lack of focus. The title and central thread seems to emphasize the Michelin system, yet it is neither a critique nor glorification. Why not rip apart the sexism or Eurocentricism or the bourgeois biases of the system more deeply? Or at least let it stand alone as food porn? It's neither.
