Le Grice no longer simply uses the printer as a reflexive mechanism, but utilises the possibilities of colour-shift and permutation of imagery as the film progresses from simplicity to complexity.
Seems like two distinct films spliced together, either one strong enough to stand alone, but by being joined it feels arbitrary and overly vague in conception, though I can't fault the imagery, its timing, or the sound design. 3&half stars.
