One of the best Blu-Ray releases of 2015. It's a silent movie covered in sex scenes and improbable dialogues. Add a fantastic piano musical score, a toothless lion, a nymphomaniac female gorilla looking for straight and unhibited sex, a mad farmer's wife looking like Joan Crawford without make-up and you'll have 158 minutes of cinema that will make you forget Hollywood blockbusters in no time. Highly recommended.
While there is a hearty amount of penetration here, involving cucumbers, butt plugs, blow-up dolls, and a gorilla, for starters, it is far beyond porn. Dominated by dialogue, absurd and hilarious, ever-accentuated by the lowest budget beautiful noiresque lighting, a score emphasizing the zingers, fluid bursts, and a phenomenal cast, this is a character study of a motley crew, unlike anything I've ever seen. WONDERFUL
"Thundercrack!" is an infamous circus of sexual uncertainty, the result of a collaboration between underground artist Curt McDowell and friend George Kuchar. "Sparkle's Tavern" had a sociopolitical sincerity that isn't present in this, despite similar themes and casting. What we witness instead with "Thunder" is absurd dialogue and inanity for the sake of inanity. It's not as amusing as it should be.
