Ratings & Reviews

  1. Richmond Hill's rating of the film Thursday's Children

A non-condescending and unsentimental short, perhaps made possible in the wake of 1952’s Mandy. The decision to focus on the children’s faces is a small triumph of simplicity. As with Granada TV’s Seven-Up you wonder what happened to the children afterwards - although with Apted’s repeat visits you sometimes wish you didn’t know, so maybe not. Society can be tough enough without additional disability.
