  1. anadyomene's rating of the film Tintin and the Mystery of the Golden Fleece

It is memorable for me for some reasons, the catchy score, the view of 60s Istanbul and Athens, Milou and Jean-Pierre Talbot. He looked quite a lot older (with more angular face) in the blue oranges sequel, but here, he was the closest to Tintin in appearance. And he could fight too, cool.

  2. Simon Reid's rating of the film Tintin and the Mystery of the Golden Fleece

Tintin translates surprisingly well into live action, with lovely location work (particularly Istanbul), classic slapstick and well-choreographed punch-ups. The comics are not just one breakneck action set piece after another, and I found this film understood that better than the recent Spielberg CGI adaptation. The final scene back at Marlinspike is a good example of this capturing the humour of the comics well.
