  2. FISCHER's rating of the film Tulpan

  4. pandakuma's rating of the film Tulpan

  5. aylakdante's rating of the film Tulpan

  6. Esra Yılmaz's rating of the film Tulpan

life is hard in the middle of desert way more harder than it already is

  7. Makinist Klitorist's rating of the film Tulpan

Seyredin, derim. Gerçekten güzel bir filmskaya.

  8. Angelika Arman's rating of the film Tulpan

I never thought a Kazakh film could be this funny.

  9. TugbaKibar's rating of the film Tulpan

  10. Altan Acikgoz's rating of the film Tulpan

Good movie except the songs of the little girl.

  11. Nabin Bista's rating of the film Tulpan

An emotional torture to viewers. This movie will haunt me forever. Perhaps someday I shall visit steppe and marry a woman like samal.

  12. Abhinay Jakhar's rating of the film Tulpan

  13. rcrespin's rating of the film Tulpan

Great film. Beautiful long takes. We often see movies dealing with masculinity and this is definitely a film to watch dealing with that theme. At times it feels almost as a documentary.

  14. Helen Claes's rating of the film Tulpan

A lovely film. Especially liked the scene where Asa's sweet sister sings a bedtime song for her ridiculously cute son.

  15. David R Williams's rating of the film Tulpan

A beautifully rendered tale of life, love and dreams on the steppes of Kazakhstan. Flawless.

  16. brianwflood's rating of the film Tulpan

Asa breaks my heart too often to count as he struggles to become his version of a man, so innocently determined to achieve the most basic of dreams - land and love - in a place that, despite his earnest efforts, offers him nothing but total indifference. The casting is impeccable and also it's hilarious in a perfectly effortless way.

  17. gaschon's rating of the film Tulpan

Interesting watch for its atmosphere and a telling story of the perspective of young man living in kazakhstan, but very slow and i found it hard to stay interested.

  18. ericafae's rating of the film Tulpan

lovely to look at, tender spirit, simple storytelling.

  19. Soulo_Guero's rating of the film Tulpan

Let's celebrate livestock! This was a highly pleasurable experience. The actors often give the impression that I am watching a "reality show" (a non-embarrassing one) and the camera placement and movement is spot-on.

  20. Jefferson's rating of the film Tulpan

Beautiful. Reminds me of Pather Panchali, especially how both films end with the families moving to begin in a new space. I would love to see how this story would continue.

  21. Wee Hunk's rating of the film Tulpan

This was quite a good film. Compelling characters. Fascinating animals. This is the perfect antidote to 'Borat'.

  22. Max Seqgar's rating of the film Tulpan

Simple and authentic, makes you travel to a different current world for a nice 2 hours!

  23. Flavisms's rating of the film Tulpan

The surfaces of the steppes allows for the characters to envision their dreams. Asa paints his on his sailor shirt, while his little brother uses the ground to forge paths of another life. The vastness of the steppes offers space for clarity of dreams, yet the link between reality and dreams - Tulpan - is never seen and always hidden. The documentary feel of this visually stunning piece heightens this dichotomy.

  24. janh24's rating of the film Tulpan

A rather eccentric affair, but much to whet the audience's appetite.
