With his friends Braguette, Grand-Guy and Marvin, Marco bully black and Arab people and promote the French far right, but, as he grows old, he feels like his hate is leaving him. How does he get rid of all that violence, hate and stupidity?

Excellent feature that tackles racism and France's far right through a tale that spans twenty years following a young skinhead through his brutal youth into his more reflective adulthood. Alban Lenoir is magnificent throughout and though the film may often be extreme this portrayal is both raw and mature. Diasteme's direction is top notch even if the viewer needs to fill in the narrative holes at times.
Good story, great male acting, strong film. Mentioning the National Front's name weakens the message : THE GOAL IS NOT IMPORTANT, THE PATH IS.
Skinhead racist gets violence, opacity, question, regret and feeling of impotent perplexity in 30 years. This is another "EDEN" directed by Alan Clarke or Shane Meadows, but more bleak, more painful, more anti-chronicling than this..hm...aw...Sorry, I can't depict this exceptional excellence well in English. But I convince that "French Blood" is Near-perfect magnum opus. I'm drastically shocked.
Best character development i have seen in a 2 hour film. Fantastic elliptical editing.
Enjoyed the character as he progressed in the most unpretentious way. He doesn't stop being a bigot because of love for his fellow mankind but he simply gets tired of it. That kind of hatred must be exhausting to harbour forever. How could you hate a billion people. Such acts of conscience literally induce panic attacks.
"This is powerful filmmaking, beautifully executed. Un Français is both a compelling look at those forces that drive people into political extremism and an unforgiving portrait of a man who grapples with a world shifting around him." - TIFF.40 Lenoir's masterful performance is particularly horrific for an American viewer as Trump's authoritarian fantasia has opened an apparently long suppressed door of hatred.
