The flat period details feel like they were plucked from a studio catalog titled "1970s aesthetic." I'm bored with the rich, self-destructive, middle-age, white guy protagonist—not to mention how shallow the script is for Richie's wife Devon. The pilot's ending was absurd, particularly when it's shrugged off in the follow up episode. And finally, are they really hanging out with Andy Warhol & Max Ernst? Really?
Actually, it's a great show and some song still lingers in my ear: cum on feel the noise and personality crisis but it's only a nostalgia fest and some scene are needed to be cut for more challenging viewing. Overall, it's worth it than most series these days, iykwim.
