Ratings & Reviews

  1. Daniel Iván's rating of the film Violence U.S.A.

Crude and visceral but extremely appealing, this documentary is a core piece of art and narrative. Can't think of any other way to portray serial killers, snipers, gun culture and so on without the unavoidable romantic appeal of fiction. Amazing.

  3. msmichel's rating of the film Violence U.S.A.

An examination of the inherent violence of America mainly tracking from the JFK assassination on through the political violence of the sixties and 70's and the emergence of serial killers and snipers. The staggering statistics of gun violence and ownership made a plea for control that has obviously fallen on deaf ears. Film often put in the 'snuff' category for its newsreel footage but deserves a better reputation.

  4. Checkpoint Charlie's rating of the film Violence U.S.A.

Felt like a P.C. "Mondo Cane", which isn't much in retrospect.

  5. ShaKha's rating of the film Violence U.S.A.

Without fear of hyperbole, I think I can honestly say that this film is one of the greatest works of art ever created.
