Contains perhaps the worst line of dialogue I've ever heard. The teenage lead wants to become a gynecologist because "I want to look inside women, to find the power that they have over me." At times, film seems to be expose and critique of performative masculinity (esp. when paired with odd homoeroticism), but it never really goes far enough so it just ends up a strange dark part of a largely routine 80s teen movie.
