What are people saying?

  • Kelvin Thompson's rating of the film We Are Animals

I won't lie and say there isn't something appealing to the idea of animalistic liberation; but the execution of it is troubling, with the love interest essentially 'liberating' the main character by chasing him down and forcing himself on him. On top of that, framing gay men like 'animals' (complete with gay men being dubbed over by monkey noises) kind of serves the view of the bigots whom the film criticizes.
