Ratings & Reviews

  1. HKFanatic's rating of the film Weekend at Bernie's

Long regarded as the absolute nadir of the Eighties buddy comedy, I have to admit that the film's central conceit - that the vapid and rich yuppie scene of the Reagan Era would be too self-absorbed to notice a dead body in their midst - still strikes me as rather smart, shrewd, and darkly hilarious. "Bernie's" is nowhere near as sophisticated as a film like "Risky Business," but it's somehow in the same ballpark.

  2. Ryuu Baron's rating of the film Weekend at Bernie's

    "He is just drunk." kakaka.

  3. John H. Nomedal's rating of the film Weekend at Bernie's

"Would you like to leave a message?...Help!!!" - An original comedy with cartoonish characters but sometimes the silly slapstick comedy gets too much. With that said it absolutely gives you more than a few good laughs.

  4. Ruiz Buñuel's rating of the film Weekend at Bernie's

This movie only has one long joke.

  5. Pymo's rating of the film Weekend at Bernie's

  6. salemsharp's rating of the film Weekend at Bernie's

people centuries in the future will cite this film as the go-to necrophilia film, that's all i could think about upon a recent viewing. still, it's funny, if not a bit misogynistic, although find me a film made in the late 80's that isn't....

  7. Steve Pulaski's rating of the film Weekend at Bernie's

One of my many shameless guilty pleasures, much like "Bio-Dome." This is definitely a one note joke film, but the cast's likability and their efforts to do the best they can with the slim material makes the slapstick work genuinely. Not great, but slightly poignant and funny. Sometimes that's good enough.

  8. swearo che ti amo's rating of the film Weekend at Bernie's

the masterpiece of "maestro" ted kotcheff

  9. Cinnamon's rating of the film Weekend at Bernie's

Commediola. Qualche sorriso e menzione particolare alla prova di Terry Kiser, il morto.
