Ratings & Reviews

  1. Karl J. Kipling's rating of the film What Scoundrels Men Are!

The plot's the usual boy-meets-girl fluff, where there's always some humorous disaster keeping them apart. But aside from being an extremely likeable film with extremely likeable actors (De Sica, he's so young!), the style here has real poetry: lots of gliding cameras through streets and over waters, brilliant editing, the whole thing just flows so beautifully. It's one of the most luminous comedies of the 1930s.

  2. JessicaAlva's rating of the film What Scoundrels Men Are!

Atypical fascist film, besides the ending usually a good time.
