Americans are scared of the wrong things. There is nothing more terrifying than big pharma, the food industry, and industrial farming, and yet, they fear "terrorists" in foreign lands. Meanwhile, food corporations write their own laws. Kudos to Kuhn and Andersen for making this brave documentary: alas, their style turns too messianic by the end. A more sober take would have been much more effective.
It's interesting enough to watch. It asks many right questions, especially concerning the interest conflicts that exist on many organisations that should have the best interest of the consumer in mind. But... it breaks into hysterics and it is clearly overly dramatic and biased so it loses quality as a documentary... this coming from a vegetarian.
As a narrative, it's sufficiently engaging, shocking and, to some extent, true; we should all be eating less meat/more plants. But it's important to do some research after watching before you openly weep over the cheeses and meats you might vow to never eat again.
