Loved Ann Harding (and Loy in her scenes with her), hated everything else. The idea that any woman would pine over that crusty old publisher is laughable. Wish we would find the lost footage of the alternate ending where Loy and Harding realize all men are garbage and run away to play golf together and make out.
Perhaps-definitive example of the "modern woman" genre--it plays like a pre-code Cosmopolitan article. Takes an ungodly amount of time getting Loy and Harding together, but their lovely, delicate performances are well worth the wait.
