Ratings & Reviews

  1. Paolo Simeone's rating of the film Where a Good Man Goes

Doesn't really add anything to the tòpos of the man coming out of prison and trying to redeem himself. And the soundtrack may be the worst in To's oeuvre setting the lower bound to his already poor choices in that department.

  2. Yongjia Li's rating of the film Where a Good Man Goes

  3. nrh's rating of the film Where a Good Man Goes

to takes an old genre standby - criminal gets out of jail, is torn between a desire to reform (in the shape of a good woman) and his baser instincts (in his propensity for violence and a corrupt cop, here played by an always great lam suet) - and slows it down, lingering on behavior and macau's seedy beauty. everyone here is trapped by past mistakes and worst instincts; generously, all are delivered by the end.
