Ratings & Reviews

  1. fleur de chair's rating of the film Whistle and I'll Come to You

This was more or less inoffensive as a middling ghost story, but outright disastrous as an adaptation of M.R. James's story. Perhaps they rightly felt that Jonathan Miller's 1968 classic could not be improved upon, in which case they should have left well enough alone or picked another James story that has not been filmed yet. Waste of John Hurt's time.

  2. Richmond Hill's rating of the film Whistle and I'll Come to You

A passable but bland variation on MR James which suffers in comparison with the earlier Miller adaptation and doesn't quite stand in its own, rather forgettable, right either.
