  2. Warren Spratley's rating of the film Who'll Stop the Rain

The greatest film about the psychological & spiritual consequences of the Vietnam war, a film wholly concerned w/ how the soul sustains itself. Geographical location is used in a manner without real parallel in cinema; the spirit, the mind, the landscape slowly melding into each other, culminating in a confrontation about nothing less than what it means to live a meaningful existence. Nolte's performance is perfect.

    IT TOLLS FOR THEE, MOTHERFUCKER!

  5. Justin Vicari's rating of the film Who'll Stop the Rain

Kiss Me Deadly got there first, but this was the 2nd great film to capture U.S postwar (and also post-Nam) desperation. U.S. society has never not been saturated with desperation, but this is a turning point marked by harder drugs, and the collusion of a new Mr. Big, the Washington gangster. John Fogerty tries to wail us back to a lost idealism, but this is strictly Last Tango country.

  6. Jaspar Lamar Crabb's rating of the film Who'll Stop the Rain

A couple of ferocious performances by T Weld & N Nolte. A great, much underseen movie

  7. Mr Centaur's rating of the film Who'll Stop the Rain

Great film. Really needs to be re-discovered.
