Ratings & Reviews

  1. Rocco's rating of the film Witchboard

This one loses a star for its horribly conceived and executed ending. Everything leading up to it (though a bit tonally erratic) is actually quite well done and there's real pathos to be found in the relationship between the two male leads. Unfortunately, the film reveals its obvious endgame far too late to build the momentum needed to stick the landing, and what we're left with is damn near indefensible.

  2. Polyglot's rating of the film Witchboard

Same thing happened to my possessed Jenga blocks.

  3. film_lies101's rating of the film Witchboard

The scene in the motel room is one of the disarming sequences in horror films

  4. Nick Schwab's rating of the film Witchboard

It's routine in horror and cheesy in comedy, but Witchboard oddly works best in its scenes of melodrama. As the characterization of its 3 main leads-- especially the predictable, if bittersweet relationship arc of the 2 males-- is actually more of a focus than the scary stuff. Thus, even if the frights aren't well conducted, it still gives these scenes pathos. A quite underrated film.

  5. ΞRIC B∆D TASTΞ's rating of the film Witchboard

Zarabeth, definitely the highlight in the movie - optical & acting.

  6. Joshua's rating of the film Witchboard

Silly but could double as a drug awareness film too, or ideologies. To paraphrase the final lines: "Can it still work with all those holes in it?" ... "Yes." No matter how much has been shown to be hogwash, there will still be someone who falls for it. And its destructive nature will shift reality. Overall, great little popcorn horror flick. Watch out for the guy rolling around on the green screen.
