  1. SueRay's rating of the film Woman on Fire Looks for Water

It was interesting to see how a small fishing village drys/salts fish!

  2. Max Seqgar's rating of the film Woman on Fire Looks for Water

A rare view into the hardships of love on a poor Malay fisherman's town... with beautiful photography throughout. Nice!

  3. CastleofWorms's rating of the film Woman on Fire Looks for Water

A slow-going, realistic tale of love, forgiveness, and regret. Highly recommended for anyone willing to take a quick dive into the budding world of southeast Asian cinema. Criminally underrated.

  4. Noah Lethbridge's rating of the film Woman on Fire Looks for Water

Provincial Malay drama. Patient, slow, honest. Bonus points for poisoned frogs.

  5. msmichel's rating of the film Woman on Fire Looks for Water

Exceptional film from Malaysian filmmaker Woo Ming Jin that should have resulted in auteur status and distribution but instead after a strong showing at Rotterdam has faded into obscurity. Excellent photography, a strong script and naturalistic performances result in a film well worth seeking out. Reminds one of the early Tran Anh Hung pictures which is not faint praise.
