I have to say every next Jay Rosenblatt's film I watch here on Mubi feels like a downward-spiral. At least they are usually short, but being a short film doesn't make it avant-garde - these films take risks and explore new ways of expression, while this is just a plain (and short) turd. Probably just the text alone or the picture without narration would have been more effective and open a door to use imagination.
Kind of liked this. Two minutes filled with simplicity and a story that seemed to be taken out of a children’s book; this been a positive thing to say. We often are too squared as a species. It was as long as it needed to be. 3 Stars because there has been other movies in Mubi which have marked me by tons more.
