It's not the worst entry into the X-Men franchise but at the same time it is far from the leagues of the best entries. However it is still an interesting entry into the X-Men film saga. With lots of interesting characters and funny moments this closely resembles a live action cartoon.
Some characters’ storylines felt way underdeveloped (Rogue, Angel, the little boy which had the cure, etc). The moving bridge was just silly, but, like the first two films, this one also had its moments, specially everything related with Jean Grey/Phoenix. It seemed very rushed: considering this would be the “last stand”, and with such large budget, they could have done a longer film and given it more closure.
Yes, Ratner is a total hack.....no doubt. However find this pic the best of the trilogy. Now that doesn't say much for Singer's efforts does it. Script not bad for a comic book movie and probably most in the spirit of the comics. Always like a picture willing to kill off a few main characters.... and what a body count in this one. Really the kiss of death for the series. Or so I once thought.
