Ratings & Reviews

  1. Kreg's rating of the film Year One

Consistently pretty funny, and with a message that sneaks up on you, this could have been a whole lot worse. Pairing Black and Cera was a great idea. The real strength was the Python-esque period humour, which they could have used much more of.

Couldn't even end this crap. They got Vinnie Jones, but that wasn't enough.

  12. Christopher M. Jones's rating of the film Year One

How you can get Michael Cera, Jack Black, David Cross and Judd Apatow involved in a comedy vehicle and then have it turn out to be such an absolute fucking disaster boggles the mind.

  13. staglias's rating of the film Year One

better than i thought, but that's not saying anything

  14. Alan Funkle's rating of the film Year One

a mix between funny and awful, enough laughs to barely give 3 stars. superbad however is terrific.

  15. Erik Villasenor's rating of the film Year One

  16. Shawn Adams Sagen's rating of the film Year One

  17. Christopher R. Smith's rating of the film Year One

Not nearly as bad as everyone made it out to be. It's nothing special, and something of a disappointment coming from director Harold Ramis. But Black and Cera are fun, and a great supporting cast - including hilarious turns by Hank Azaria and Oliver Platt, in particular - keep things moving through the hit-or-miss jokes. Serviceable goofy entertainment that doesn't deserve the hatred that's been heaped on it.

  18. roberto2112's rating of the film Year One
