Yellow Submarine still keeps the spirit of the 60's alive and acknowledging animation as a potential art form. The Beatles' psychedelic world of love and music colliding with the innovative styles of animation. A true classic and the one film that me understand what real music is like, let alone introducing the Fab Four.
A stunning visual trip for the eyes, a can't-help-but-sing-along musical for the ears, and an all-around entertaining & plotless adventure for kids and the young-at-heart. Even it sags here or there (or gets a little too surreal), the fun songs, delightful animation, and wordplay make it a wonderful film.
